The Aces Sound System

Founded in 2009 with the aim of disseminating the early Jamaican indigenous rhythms such as ska, rocksteady, and early reggae; The Aces Sound System was born from a group of music enthusiasts seeking to promote sound system culture in Costa Rica. They organized live events featuring Jamaican artists from that era, as well as contemporary bands dedicated to preserving these foundational rhythms.

With over 14 years in the music scene and having traveled to El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Jamaica, and Colombia; The Aces remain committed to preserving the Jamaican legacy for many more years to come.
