Founders and Selectors Jon 'Spyne' and Jenn 'Steinjah' share 1 thing in common - a passion for dub, reggae and big sound.

In 2009, 40hz Soundsystem was born in a sleeper town just outside of Toronto and came to fruition as an effort to try and breathe quality sound back into local events.

After establishing themselves as a front runner in Toronto's dubstep and bass music scene, 40hz continues to make subtle, but calculated moves and have become a staple in the summer bass music festival scene in Ontario and Quebec.
