Superpower Soundsystem

Superpower Soundsystems concept is actually to combine soundscapes from the analog world of the 80´s with top todays gear, like very high performing drivers and amps, but most important a very good preamp. The idea behind it comes from Tom Battery, a vinyl collector, Dub & Analog enthusiast from Berlin.
Transformed was the idea into a Soundsystem by non other than Crucial B, aka Jürgen Becker aka Blacky from Hamurg City, St.Pauli in 2021. He designed and built it. The driving force behind was to create a sound around 80´s JBL Horns, who were taken for Heavy Metal Bands touring. They are now driven by powerful 12" drivers from northern italy.
The other speakers are built from scratch, 3 way tops, double 15" kicks and the bass section with 2 x 18" driven cabinets and 2 x 21" driven Wembley B-Line silmilar bins. Most drivers are manufactured in northern italy.
The system is also designed for a maximum output by a minimum weight, you can built it up and play quick and guerilla style with only 2 people.
We now mostly run it at the Berlin Dubcafe in Club Gretchen, but also Berlin festivals and sometimes deep in the forest or cruising downtown on Berlins oldest tourist cruiser "Kaiser Friedrich", now running batterypowered.
